cookies-062

I know its a Tuesday and I know I haven’t been regular with GMT postings but I am sure the recipe for these peanut butter cookies will make up for the lack of me posting something Indian.

Last week was rough- a tragedy happened during the renovation of our house which ended up in a worker’s death. It shook all of us and I can not even imagine what his family must have gone through. But life had to move on.

Then an order that I worked on did not survive the 5 hour journey the customer took and it was the first time I was experiencing such a thing, so that to did not bring any cheer to the week.  But lessons were learnt and hopefully it won’t happen again.

Anyway, I guess life is too short to live in worry and stress and sadness. We need to accept that things won’t always sail smoothly, and its ok.

Number Sugar Cookies | The Novice Housewife

Surprise! Surprise! I am here with a post other than GMT!! And its got to do with sugar cookies. These particular decorated sugar cookies. Number shaped sugar cookies.

In my previous posts I mentioned about my new venture in cake decorating The Pink CakeBox, and since I do not get time to cook or shoot what I cook I had mentioned that I will try to post about my caking adventures on the blog when I get the time. So here it is. Number shaped decorated cookies that I did for a client. And then another one. And then another one.

The design is not my original and it was sent to me by the client. Coincidentally her daughter’s name is also Zara. I have tried to find the person who did these cookies originally to give credit but after spending a substantial amount of time on google and pinterest this is what I found and probably where my client got the image from. Since the image is uploaded by the user I am not sure if it is hers so I will just post a link to the pin.

Kasauli is a small town located in the northern Indian state of Himachal Pradesh. Its a hill station about two hours drive from Chandigarh (where I am presently staying). Our family friends were planning to spend two nights in Kasauli and asked my parents to come along as well. Since I was free (kind of) for a day I tagged along.
