When I posted the photo of these tofu tacos on my social media accounts, soon I started getting requests for the recipe. And rightly so. These tacos are super easy to make and taste great and are chock full of all the good stuff.
I recently got the Food Network’s The Best and Lightest
I did want to make a more V-day oriented recipe and post and while these tacos would be great any day, I had originally planned to do a more sweet (read chocolate) oriented post like . These eclairs that I posted on my instagram were my choice but I made a mistake with the choux dough and I did not get the right shape. They tasted great though and V and I have been chowing them down like crazy. Hopefully a few more tries and I will be able to post a recipe soon. Instead I am sharing these tofu tacos recipe today.
And if you are looking for some sweet ideas you can try these recipes:
So, what are all of your Valentine’s Day plans? We actually have none for now. My mom is coming next week so I guess it will be mostly spent getting the house completely ready. Going out on Sunday might be a pain given that most nice places will have reservation issues. Instead I think we might head out today for pre-V-day celebrations.
If you are in the Dallas area the Arboretum has a special discounted ticket price of $5 going on. Its been on my list of things to do in Dallas, so if we get some time off V and I might spend our day there. For President’s Day they also have an all-American weekend celebration, with patriotic music and $1 hot dogs and $2 cherry pies.
This weekend I will be working on a DIY as well for the guest room and if I succeed I will post the pictures along with the details on the blog. I am pretty excited about it and just hope I am able to translate what I am envisioning. For now I will leave you with these recipe for really easy tofu tacos. The vegetarian in your house (and others) will love them.
